The Local Government Unit of Pagbilao under the leadership of Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic through the Municipal Physical Fitness and Sports Development Council (MPFSDC) under the guidance of Municpal Administrator Ian Palicpic launched the 3-day Sports Festival for Students, from May 27-29, at the Pagbilao Municipal Covered Court.
The three-day affair which lasted until May 29 featured different competitions for both elementary and secondary students who participated during the LGU’s first ever Sports Development Program in the following sports event; (1) Chess, (2) Badminton, (3) Table Tennis, (4) Arnis, (5) Wushu, (6) Taekwondo, (7) Karate (Kata Event), and (8) Karate (Kumite Event).
The Awarding Ceremony for the winners took place in the aforementioned place wherein almost 200 students from various schools and institutions in the locality participated in such activities where the winners in every category were announced, with medals and certificates are handed out.
These activities provided an opportunity for them to make new friendships, improve their self-confidence and communications skills whilst most importantly just having fun.
In addition, these activities help them instill discipline among students, and teach them the value of sportsmanship which is the ability to accept defeat gracefully and the ability to bounce back strong from a fall will able them to experience personal triumph and immense joy.#SerbisyongClickatQuick #PagbilaoWINS
