After the management of Kwebang Lampas has failed to apply for, and acquire, the necessary business/mayor’s permit during the given span of time, the Local Government Unit of Pagbilao has issued the Cease and Desist Order upon the said popular tourist destination, thus temporarily halting its operation, including the store situated therein.
The Cease and Desist Order was signed on June 28, 2017 by Pagbilao Municipal Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic and sent to those who manage the area on June 30, 2017. The Order was issued following the serving of three (3) notices on May 31, June 9 and June 19.
During the meeting held May 10, 2017, the LGU has given the management two (2) weeks to apply for and acquire business/mayor’s permit, which they missed to do so. After the given two weeks, the LGU then served the three notices. Still, however, no response from the management has been received by the LGU.
The LGU has already given courtesy copies to concerned agencies such as the Provincial Tourism Office and the Energy World Corporation. Another letter of notice was sent to Barangay Captain Arnel Amandy of Barangay Ibabang Polo.
Additionally, the LGU placed a banner in conspicuous areas in the municipality, particularly in entry and exit points, informing the public on the temporary closure of the area.
The resumption of Kwebang Lampas’ operation will be announced immediately after the LGU has lifted the decision.
