Members of the Municipal Development Council (MDC) gathered before Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic for a meeting where new MDC resolutions were presented, discussed and approved, July 13, 2017 at the Municipal Administrator’s Conference Room.
New MDC resolutions include the approval of the Annual Investment Plan (AIP) and the Local Development Investment Plan (LDIP) of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO); the request to the Sangguniang Bayan to review the LGU’s Kabayanihan Fund and provide benefits to MDRRMO volunteers; the organizing of the Municipal Project Monitoring Committee (MPMC) and its Technical Working Group (MPMC-TWG) as mandated by Executive Order 376, Series of 1989 which was amended through EO 93, Series of 1993; the approval of Addendum to the LDIP and AIP CY 2017-2021; the approval of the LDIP and AIP for year 2018; and the approval of the Gender and Development (GAD) Fund for 2018.
Another approved MDC resolution bears the 20% Municipal Development Fund (MDF) for Budget Year 2018 amounting to P33,395,401.40. The said amount is intended to be used for Social Development and Economic Development projects. Specifically, it will fund the installation of 279 units of solar streetlights from Brgy. Ikirin to Brgy. Silangang Malicboy, and from Villa Mercedes Subdivision to La Suerte Mega Warehouse in Brgy. Talipan; and the provision of Capital Expenditures (Livelihood Assistance) to all 27 barangays.
The MDC is composed of all 27 barangay captains of Pagbilao, Mayor Palicpic, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator and EnP Casiano Ayapana, and other LGU department heads.
