Through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Quezon; the Quezon Provincial Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Council; and the Local Government Unit of Pagbilao, the establishment of Negosyo Center Pagbilao was made possible. The launching, ribbon-cutting and blessing took place at the Sentrong Pangkabuhayan Building, July 7, 2017.
The Negosyo Center Pagbilao seeks to “provide general business advisory and capability development services to local would-be and existing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs)”. It is a provision in the Republic Act 10644 or the “Go Negosyo Act” that is geared towards the strengthening of MSMEs, thereby helping in creating more jobs for the Filipino people.
The Pagbilao Negosyo Center is the eight (8th) Negosyo Center established by the DTI in Quezon Province. It is DTI’s responsibility to put up the same in all municipalities, cities and provinces in the whole country.
Present in the Negosyo Center Pagbilao launching were DTI-Quezon OIC Provincial Director Julieta Tadiosa, Pagbilao Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic, 1st District Board Member Jerry Talaga, Pagbilao Municipal Administrator Ian Palicpic, Councilor Celedonio Dapla, DTI-Quezon staff and guests. Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Maaño blessed the new Negosyo Center.
Services offered by the Center are categorized in three: (1) Business Advisory wherein the DTI will “Provide MSMEs advisory services tailored according to their needs through one-on-one consultation, focus group discussion and coaching/mentoring”; (2) Business Registration Assistance wherein the DTI will “Facilitate processing and documentation of paper requirements necessary for the establishment of micro, small and medium enterprises”; and (3) Business Information and Advocacy wherein the DTI will “Conduct trainings, seminars and dialogues to increase MSMEs’ productivity and efficiency”.
