Quezon Governor David “Jayjay” Suarez, together with 1st District Board Member Jerry Talaga and staff from the Provincial Government of Quezon, spent some of their busy time with the Local Government Unit of Pagbilao, headed by Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic, to distribute Health Coupons and Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation or AICS, January 30, 2017.
Aside from health coupons and AICS, the provincial government also held a Capability Training for Luntiang Katipuneros or the “guardians” of Quezon mangroves.
In his message, Gov. Suarez shared that his administration is set to establish a water-refilling station in Pagbilao, similar to the ones built in Bondoc Peninsula municipalities. The good governor also disclosed the provincial government’s massive infrastructure development projects for the year 2017, which comprise the full concretion and full payment of provincial roads and farm-to-market roads, extending the Quezon Medical Center (QMC) to accommodate the burgeoning number of patients seeking medical help every day (and adding Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI scanning service at QMC), twenty-five-million-worth of rehabilitation project for the Mangrove Experimental Forest, and the development of Quezon National Forest Park.
Gov. Suarez is likewise initiating the push in adding three (3) more districts in Quezon Province (thereby making it a seven-district province), and the adoption of the provincial government’s Q1K program in all municipalities.
Pagbilao Mayor Shierre Ann Portes-Palicpic, meanwhile, thanked Gov. Suarez and everyone at the Quezon Provincial Government for continuously working hand-in-hand with the Pagbilao LGU in extending relevant and truly beneficial help to the people of Pagbilao, particularly those in the poverty line.
The activity was attended by barangay officials, AICS beneficiaries and members of Luntiang Katipuneros.
